Enigma Mansion - South Africa's most expensive residence
By ossewa (2014-03-27)
At R300 million (28 million US Dollar), Enigma Mansion is the most expensive residence to be put on the market in South Africa.
Who owns the property was initially a mystery, but it is now widely accepted that the property is owned by German businessman, Francis Oswald Urs Schnetzler and his wife, former porn star, Veronika Zemanová.
Construction of Enigma Mansion was completed in 2011 and it was put it on the market for R300 million the very next year.
Porn star Veronika Zemanová retired from the adult entertainment business in 2003 when she married Schnetzler, but her legacy lives on in a large collection of erotic portraits placed around the triple-storey mansion.
The property occupies an incredible 7 000 sqm of land, features an opulent swimming pool, active waterways, sweeping terraces and secret hideaways.
The property houses 600sqm of entertainment and relaxation suites, including a private 3D movie theater which resembles a lovechild of Moulin Rouge and the Playboy Mansion, and a guest studio of 250 sqm.
The Enigma Mansion is now made available for national and international commercials, fashion/beauty film and photo shoots as well as mainstream movie productions.
The beauty of this property was captured in an E-book which can be downloaded here: http://enigmamansion.com/pdf/Enigma-book.pdf
